한양대학교 Residential College 센터 글로벌 하우스에서는 2022학년도 2학기 참여 학생들의 한국 생활과 대학 생활 적응을 돕기 위해 다양한 특별선택활동을 기획하였다. 활동은 ‘글로벌 배드민턴 활동’, ‘한국문화체험’, ‘떡 만들기 체험’, ‘단풍사진전’, ‘K-뷰티 메이크업 특강’, ‘빼빼로 만들기 활동’, ‘K-pop 댄스 활동’, ‘Pre 크리스마스 파티’로 총 8개의 활동을 준비하였다.
리더십 하우스와 글로벌 하우스 학생들의 체력 증진을 위하여 매주 수요일 오후 3시부터 5시까지 ERICA 캠퍼스 내 체육관에서 배드민턴 활동을 9차례 진행하였다. 리더십 하우스와 글로벌 하우스 학생들이 섞여서 랜덤으로 파트너를 정하고 배드민턴을 쳤다. 초반엔 의사소통이 쉽지 않아 어색해했지만, 같이 땀을 흘리고 경기하며 가까워질 수 있었다. 중간 쉬는 시간에는 한국의 전통 놀이인 ‘공기놀이’를 배우며 한국 문화에 대해 조금 더 알아갈 수 있는 시간을 가졌다. 학생들은 다양한 국가에서 온 학생들과 함께 배드민턴을 치며 쉽게 친해질 수 있어서 좋았고 운동을 통해 체력을 향상할 수 있었다는 말을 전했다.
The Global House of Hanyang University ERICA Residential College Center has planned various special activities to help international students adapt to university life in Korea. A total of 8 activities were prepared: ‘Global Badminton Activity’, ‘Korean Culture Experience, ‘Rice Cake Making Class’, ‘Autumn Leaves Photo Contest’, ‘K-Beauty Makeup Class’, ‘Pepero Making Activity’, ‘K-pop Dance Activity’, and ‘Pre Christmas Party’.
In order to improve the physical strength of the Leadership House and the Global House students, badminton activities were conducted nine times at the indoor gymnasium on the ERICA campus from 3 PM to 5 PM every Wednesday. Leadership House and Global House students were mixed and they randomly selected partners to play badminton. In the beginning, the atmosphere was a little bit awkward and it was hard to communicate with each other. But they quickly get along together while playing badminton. During the break, students had time to learn how to play the traditional Korean game called ‘Gonggi-nori.’ The students said that it was good to play badminton with students from different countries and to improve their physical strength through exercise.
