한양대학교 ERICA Residential College 센터(이하 RC센터)는 2022학년도 1학기 글로벌 하우스 전체 신청자를 대상으로 오리엔테이션을 2022년 3월 23일(수)과 3월 24일(목)에 두 차례 나눠 진행하였다. 학생들은 자신이 택한 봉사활동에 따라 조가 나뉘어 착석하였다.
2022학년도 1학기 ERICA RC센터의 구성원을 대상으로 고채린 연구원의 진행과 함께 이성준 센터장, 김희택 RC Master, 문선경 연구원이 참석하였다. 글로벌 하우스 참여 학생들 간의 어색함 분위기를 깨기 위한 아이스 브레이킹 게임을 시작으로 오리엔테이션이 시작되었다. 화기애애한 분위기 속에서 글로벌 하우스에 대한 소개가 이어졌다.
다음으로 글로벌 하우스의 기본 활동인 봉사활동에 대해 설명하였다. 그 외 한국문화체험과 같은 특별 활동에 대해 간단한 소개를 더 했다. 끝으로 올해 처음 운영하게 된 글로벌 하우스 활동에 대한 기대감을 전하였다. 이번 오리엔테이션을 통해 외국인 유학생들과 직접 이야기를 나눠보며 외국인을 위한 비교과 프로그램에 대한 관심과 열정을 확인할 수 있는 시간이었다.
Hanyang University ERICA Residential College Center (as known as RC Center) conducted the orientation twice on March 23(Wed) and March 24(Thu) for Global House members of the 2022 Spring Semester. The students were divided into groups and seated according to the volunteer work they chose.
The director of the RC center Sung-joon Lee, RC Master professor Hee-taek Kim, and researcher Sun-kyeong Moon attended the orientation event, along with the progress of researcher Chae-rin Ko for Global House members of the new semester. The orientation began with an ice-breaking game to ease the awkwardness between students. After the ice-breaking game, the introduction of the global house continued in a friendly atmosphere.
Next, volunteer work, the basic activity of the global house, was explained. In addition, a brief introduction was added to special activities such as the Korean culture experience. Finally, the researchers expressed great expectations for the Global House program which was first operated this year. Through the event, it was a good time to communicate with foreign students closely and check students’ interest and passion for extracurricular activities.
