한양대학교 ERICA Residential College 센터 글로벌 하우스에서는 2022년 5월 9일(월) 오전 10시에 정윤진 메이크업 아티스트의 진행으로 K-뷰티 메이크업 특강이 운영되었다. 평소 K-뷰티에 대해 관심을 보였던 학생들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 외국인 학생들을 대상으로 진행하는 특강인 만큼 강의 초반부터 메이크업 시연을 통해 그에 맞는 설명을 진행하였다.
먼저 메이크업에 대한 기초적인 설명부터 시작되었다. 그 후엔 외국인 학생들의 다양한 피부 톤 및 상태를 파악하여 개개인에게 맞는 메이크업 스타일과 피부 표현에 관해 설명해주었고 여러 가지 예시를 통해 학생들의 이해를 도왔다. 코로나19로 인하여 마스크를 착용해야 하는 상황에서 파운데이션의 지속력을 높일 수 있는 방법 등 학생들이 관심을 가질만한 주제로 진행되었다. 같은 화장품이라도 바르는 방식과 사용하는 도구에 따라 다르게 표현될 수 있다는 것에 신기하다는 반응을 보였다. 사전에 학생들이 현재 사용하고 있는 화장품을 알아보기 위해 각자 파우치를 준비했고 이를 참고하여 어떻게 하면 잘 활용할 수 있는지 질문하는 시간을 가졌다. 이후 인상을 결정하는 눈썹 정리법과 그리는 법에 대한 자세한 설명을 통해 학생들은 자신의 얼굴형에 맞는 눈썹 그리는 방법을 배울 수 있었다.
평소 혼자 메이크업하며 궁금했던 내용을 전문가에게 바로 물어볼 수 있는 시간으로 학생들의 집중도와 만족도가 높은 강의였다. 한국의 메이크업을 자기 얼굴에 맞게 적용할 수 있는 법을 배울 수 있는 유익한 시간이었다.
At the Hanyang University ERICA Residential College Center Global House, K-Beauty Makeup Class was held at 10 a.m. on May 9, 2022(Mon) by makeup artist Yoon-jin Jeong. The students who were interested in Korean makeup styles showed a big interest in this activity. As it was a special lecture for foreign students, a makeup demonstration was conducted from the beginning of the lecture.
The makeup class started with a basic explanation of makeup. After that, the makeup artist identified various skin tones and conditions of foreign students and explained the makeup style and skin expression suitable for each person, and helped students understand through various examples. The class went through topics that students would be interested in, such as ways to increase the sustainability of foundations when masks have to be worn due to COVID-19. Students were amazed that even the same cosmetics could be expressed differently depending on how you apply them and the tools you use. In order to find out the cosmetic products students are currently using in advance, students were asked to bring makeup pouches and took time to refer to them and ask how to use them well. Afterwards, students could learn how to draw eyebrows that fit their face shape through detailed explanations on how to trim and draw eyebrows.
It was the activity with high concentration and satisfaction of students as a time to ask makeup artist what they were curious about while doing makeup by themselves. And it was a useful time to learn how to apply Korean makeup to their faces.
