한양대학교 ERICA Residential College 센터에서 글로벌 하우스에서 전체 오리엔테이션 이후 학생들이 선택한 봉사활동(도서관 봉사활동, 언어교환 봉사활동 중 택1)에 따른 오리엔테이션을 한 차례 더 진행하였다.
도서관 봉사활동을 선택한 학생들은 안산시 단원구 원곡동에 위치한 안산다문화작은도서관에서 2022년 3월 30일(수) 오후 1시에 오리엔테이션이 있었다. 교내 캠퍼스가 아닌 교외에서 하는 봉사활동이기에 참여 인원 전원이 Residential College 센터 연구원들과 함께 지하철을 타고 도서관으로 이동했다. ‘안산’, ‘다문화’, ‘원곡동’과 같은 키워드를 중심으로 안산다문화도서관 관장님의 도서관 소개를 시작으로 마인드맵을 통한 학생들의 자기소개가 이어졌다. 뒤이어 소독 티슈를 이용하여 책을 소독하는 업무 등 학생들이 하게 될 봉사활동에 대한 설명을 들으며 오리엔테이션이 끝이 났다.
언어교환 봉사활동을 신청한 학생들을 대상으로 창의인재원 교육관 205호에서 2022년 4월 6일(수) 오후 1시에 오리엔테이션이 진행되었다. 언어교환 봉사활동의 경우 글로벌 하우스의 외국인 유학생들과 리더십 하우스의 한국인 학생들이 본인이 배우고 가르치길 원하는 언어로 짝이 맺어졌다. 영어, 프랑스어, 독일어, 네덜란드어, 인도네시아어, 중국어 7개의 언어로 총 13개의 언어교환 팀이 만들어졌다. 자신의 언어교환 팀에 따라 자리가 배정되어 착석하였다. 고채린 연구원의 진행과 함께 아이스 브레이킹 게임을 시작으로 오리엔테이션이 시작되었으며 간단한 언어교환 봉사활동에 대한 설명이 이어졌다. 끝으로 학생들은 자신의 팀원들에게 본인의 나라와 문화에 대해 소개하는 프레젠테이션을 발표하며 서로를 알아가는 시간을 가질 수 있었다.
After the orientation event for entire members of Hanyang University ERICA Residential College Center Global House, the orientation was conducted once more according to the volunteer work(Library volunteer/Language Exchange volunteer) that students selected.
Students who chose to volunteer at the library had an orientation at 1pm on March 30(Wed) at the Ansan Multiculture Small Library located in Wongok-dong, Ansan. Since it was a volunteer activity outside the campus, all students took the subway to the library with researchers from the Residential College Center.
Focusing on keywords such as ‘Ansan’, ‘Multicultural’, and ‘Wongok-dong’, the director of the Ansan Multiculture Small Library introduced the library. After that, students introduced themselves using mind maps. The library orientation ended with an explanation of volunteer works that students would do, such as disinfecting books using disinfection tissues.
The other orientation was held for students who applied for the Language Exchange volunteer work on April 6(Wed) from 1pm at the Residential College Center building room 205. In the case of Language exchange volunteer work, foreign students at the Global House and Korean students at the Leadership House were paired with a group of languages they wanted to learn and teach. A total of 13 language exchange teams were created in seven languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Indonesian, and Chinese. Students were assigned seats and seated according to their language exchange team. With the presentation of researcher Chae-rin Ko, the orientation began with an ice-breaking game, followed by an explanation about Language Exchange volunteer works. At the end of the orientation, students were able to get to know each other by giving a presentation about their country and culture to their group members.
