한양대학교 ERICA Residential College 센터 글로벌 하우스에서는 2023년 3월 8일(수) 오후 12시에 창의인재원 교육관 205호에서 2023년도 1학기 글로벌 하우스 구성원을 대상으로 오리엔테이션을 개최하였다. 이번 학기 모집인원은 학부생 20명, 교환학생 81명, KOICA 대학원생 5명 총 106명으로, 30개국의 다양한 국적의 학생들이 참여하였다.
본격적인 오리엔테이션 시작에 앞서 다함께 아이스 브레이킹 게임을 하며 어색한 분위기를 풀었다. 즐거운 분위기 속에서 고채린 연구원의 글로벌 하우스 프로그램에 대한 소개가 이어졌고 뒤이어 글로벌 하우스의 공통 선택 활동인 교외 도서관 봉사활동과 언어교환 봉사활동에 대해 설명하였다. 이후 한국문화체험, 배드민턴 활동, 식목행사 등 다양한 특별 선택 활동과 수료 기준에 대한 설명한 후 오리엔테이션을 마무리했다. 이번 오리엔테이션을 통해 글로벌 하우스에 대한 학생들의 관심과 여러 활동에 대한 기대감을 확인할 수 있었다. 직전 학기에 비해 약 54% 이상의 참여 인원이 증가한 만큼 학생들의 더욱 활발한 활동이 기대된다.
Hanyang University ERICA Residential College Center Global House held an orientation on March 8th at 12 PM for the Spring Semester 2023 Global House members.
Before officially starting the orientation, everyone participated in an ice-breaking game to create a comfortable atmosphere. In the midst of the joyful ambience, an introduction to the Global House program was provided, followed by an explanation of the Basic Activities, which include 'Library Volunteer' and 'Global Cafe (Language Exchange Volunteer)'.
Subsequently, various Special Activities, such as 'Korean Culture Experience', 'Badminton Activity', and 'Arbor Day Planting Event', were introduced, along with the completion criteria. This provided an opportunity to gauge the students' expectations and interests in the Global House activities. With a participation increase of over 54% compared to the previous semester, we anticipate more active student engagement.
